Social Skills Group (8-12)
A small group setting where children between the ages of 8 and 12 can learn and practice important social skills using social thinking curriculums such as “Superflex” the social thinking superhero. Children will practice listening, taking turns in conversation, understanding another person’s feelings, conflict resolution, friendship skills, and identifying/expressing their feelings in a safe and fun environment.
Lego Group (8-12)
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 will learn and practice skills related to cooperation, sharing, taking turns, communication and problem solving while building with legos. This group will benefit children with Autism, ADHD and other social learning challenges. Participation in the Lego Group supports social emotional growth and development in a fun atmosphere that can be individualized according to the abilities and skills of each child.
ADHD Teen Group (13-17)
Does your teen struggle with attention, hyperactivity or impulsivity? Do you have concerns related to their executive function skills such as organization, planning, initiating to and completing tasks? This group will provide teens with education related to ADHD, as well as help them to develop effective skills and strategies to use at home and school.
How much does participation in group cost?
Groups are typically covered by your insurance provider and often require a patient copay for each session. We can provide specific information related to your insurance coverage.
